Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to the news that Sadio Mane once again won’t be available to face Brighton on Wednesday evening.
The Senegalese star missed the game against West Ham over the weekend, and an update on the official club website has confirmed that he won’t be in contention for this one either.
As you can imagine, this sparked worry and sadness amongst the fanbase.
Some fans were concerned about Mane being seriously injured, as his diagnosis is yet to be made public, and that’s often a bad sign, while others weren’t happy about the fact he’ll be missing for the Brighton game.
To be fair, Liverpool shouldn’t miss him too much against the Seagulls. After all, they were able to breeze past West Ham without Mane, and Brighton are in a much worse league position than the Hammers.
The real worry is if he’s missing for Liverpool’s next game against Manchester City, as the Reds will need to be at their very best if they’re going to get the better of Pep Guardiola’s side and ramp up their title challenge.
