Leeds fans have taken to Twitter in emotional fashion after seeing what the club tweeted about Kalvin Phillips, after England’s 2-0 win over Germany.
What’s the story?
Well, after full-time at Wembley, Phillips posted a photo of his boots from the dressing room.
Stitched along the side of his adidas Predator boots, the Leeds academy graduate had ‘Granny Val’ written, in what was a heartfelt tribute.
Sadly, Granny Val – Phillips’ Grandmother – passed away earlier this year.
She become an icon among the Elland Road faithful after starring in the club’s Take Me Home documentary on Amazon Prime.
Granny Val was arguably Phillips’ biggest fan, and their relationship was always a beautiful sight to behold.
Kalvin Phillips did Granny Val proud

Everyone in an England shirt shone at Wembley yesterday, including Phillips.
As WhoScored shows, the 25-year-old was bullish in midfield alongside Declan Rice, winning four aerial duels.
Phillips also made three clearances, and showed off his excellent passing range by completing four of his five long-range pings.
The Leeds No.23 also completed 55 successful passes, which was nearly more than any of his teammates – John Stones completed 56.

It was a fantastic performance from a player who’s relatively new to the England set-up.
Watching him play, you’d think he’d have 100 caps under his belt!
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about the club’s tweet…
