Josko Gvardiol has admitted that he wants to join Liverpool.
And who is Josko Gvardiol? Well he’s a teenage defender who joined Leipzig for £16 million only last summer.
The big centre-back has revealed that he’s been a lifelong fan of Liverpool and would love the chance to realise his boyhood ambition by joining the Anfield club at some point down the line.
At 19, Gvardiol clearly has a big future in the game, evident by the price-tag he commanded last summer and the fact that he’s a full Croatia international.

Too late?
It’s a little bit late for Gvardiol – or any other centre-back – to reveal that they want to join Jurgen Klopp’s side.
That’s because the Red have just dropped £36 million on bringing Konate in from Leipzig, incidentally.
But with Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip set to be fit for next season, Konate is probably going to be the last centre-back that Klopp signs this summer.
It’s worth noting that Gvardiol wasn’t talking about joining Liverpool this summer anyway, but the Premier League giants, who won the title in 2020, are well stocked in this role nonetheless.
