Joe Gelhardt is one of the most exciting youth talents currently on the books at Leeds, and his two goals today were further proof of that statement.
Gelhardt scored two unbelievable goals for Leeds’ U-23 side in their 4-0 win over Liverpool. The teenage striker’s first strike saw the attack manage to beat Marcelo Pitaluga from the halfway line.
The second of the two goals, though, was arguably even better as Gelhardt hit a thunderous effort from 35-yards out to catch Pitaluga off-guard.
It was a stunning pair of goals from Gelhardt. The youngster has gone from strength to strength this season in the development squad for Leeds. The attacker already has four goals in five games this campaign.
Gelhardt could have made it a hat-trick this afternoon. However, the attacker missed from the penalty spot after winning the spot-kick in the first place.
Regardless of the penalty miss, it was a day to remember for Gelhardt, whose two goals were some of the best in English football this weekend.
