The Brazilian tipped Liverpool to miss out on the top four this season.
Neymar spoke to reporters yesterday, and predicted that Liverpool would finish outside of the top four in the Premier League table, at the expense of Tottenham, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in response to the Brazilian’s comments.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar was speaking exclusively to the Express, and responded when asked which teams he thought would finish inside the top four of the Premier League table this season:
“It’s very hard, it’s very difficult, but Manchester City will win it. Second will be United, third is Chelsea. Fourth is Tottenham.”
Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool side have been mightily impressive so far this season, winning their opening four Premier League games, and many fans and pundits alike are tipping them to push Manchester City all the way for the league title.
That is a notion that Neymar obviously doesn’t agree with, however.
It really would be a huge shock to see Klopp’s men miss out on the Champions League places this season, however, and some Liverpool fans took to Twitter in response to the Brazilian’s bold prediction…
