Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to praise Simon Jordan for his comments about Marcelo Bielsa and the club’s poor run of form.
What’s the story?
Well, as is often the case when it comes to Leeds, pundits often don’t have a good understanding of the situation.
For example, Karen Carney lazily said that Leeds earned promotion “because of COVID” – she later deleted her Twitter account.
Now, Jordan has surprised Leeds fans after he ‘hit the nail on the head’ when discussing the club’s current struggles under Bielsa.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace chairman said: “Bielsa is a first class coach. They’ve hit a run of form which is predominately based on a depleted squad, and he’s not for changing (the style of play). Fair play to him, stick with it.
“Whilst it looks bleak, you have to believe in what you’re looking at. I’ll tell you who believes in it, Leeds fans, and that’s good enough for me.”

Fair play to Jordan for actually examining the situation properly, and not resorting to hard-hitting soundbites to attract social media attention.
The likes of Jim White often choose to ignore the rational answer, preferring to say something outlandish to ignite a debate.
Therefore, it was refreshing to hear from someone who’s clearly done their research.
Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa will be fine
Leeds are a strong club, with a healthy relationship between the supporters, Bielsa and those at boardroom level.
It is not often we see such unity across a club, especially amid a time where owners like Stan Kroenke and Mike Ashley provoke division.
Having everyone pulling in the same direction can get you a long way in the Premier League, so Leeds must stick together.

Last term, they finished ninth in the Premier League, so there is clearly a lot of quality at Elland Road – right now, there’s just a lack of belief.
However, if anyone is capable of revitalising the players, it’s Bielsa – he’s not nicknamed God in Yorkshire for nothing.
For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about Jordan’s comments…
