Arsenal fans have reacted to Fabrizio Romano’s claim on Twitter that Folarin Balogun has signed a new contract at Arsenal and that 15 clubs were chasing his signature.
For many months now, it has seemed as though one of Arsenal’s teenage talents would be heading for the exit door this summer.
Therefore, this news has perhaps come as a surprise to some, as Balogun will now be hoping to join the first-team party in the near future.
The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah are proof that Mikel Arteta is jumping into the deep end with the less experienced swimmers.
So, when the Balogun contract news is confirmed, he will be hoping to dive straight in.
Usually, it’s the more experienced and proven players that would welcome a young talent on board, but it’s the other way around for Arsenal this season.
