Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Tottenham opened talks with Antonio Conte in regards to replacing José Mourinho.
The BBC claim that no offer has been made to the Italian yet, but talks have been held with the man who just guided Inter Milan to the Serie A title.
Now, after hearing the news, some Arsenal fans are quite jealous.
In truth, you can understand why.
Conte just guided Inter Milan to their first Serie A title in 11 years, to add another trophy to his vast collection of silverware.
In total, the 51-year-old has won nine trophies throughout his managerial career, including the Premier League title.
Impressively, he seems to be able to work quickly with the tools he has at his disposal.
In just two seasons at the San Siro, he guided Inter Milan to the Europa League final, before winning Serie A this term.
In Arsenal’s case, Mikel Arteta is in the infancy of his managerial career, and hasn’t achieved anything close to what Conte has.
Of course, the Spaniard could still come good.
However, if Tottenham appoint Conte, there’s no denying that the white half of north London will have a better manager in the dugout.
Historically, Arsenal can still be considered the bigger club in north London.
Having said that, the tables are turning. If Spurs appoint Conte, it could make them turn even faster.
Arsenal supporters are well within their right to be envious.
