Some West Ham United fans on social media have been reacting after they were once again linked with a move for Boulaye Dia.
Dia has been a long-term target for the Hammers, and The Athletic are once again reporting that a summer move could be on the cards for the striker.
Interestingly, the fanbase weren’t all that excited by this rumour.
Fans were quick to point out that this was a tentative link rather than a concrete bid, and it seems as though supporters are getting fed up of being linked to strikers without actually signing one.
West Ham have needed a new number nine for a long time now, and while last season was incredibly successful for the London club, there’s still a feeling amongst the fanbase that their recruitment strategy is lacking.
Whether or not Dia signs for West Ham remains to be seen, but Hammers supporters aren’t holding out much hope for this one, with many fans not holding out much hope for a signing.
Sadly, the fanbase haven’t allowed themselves to get excited about this link this time around.
