Tottenham Hotspur fans are not exactly pleased with a transfer report which suggests that the club are trying to sign Max Aarons, despite Jose Mourinho’s concerns over his height.

The Times suggest that Spurs could push through a move for Aarons, even though his height is a concern for Mourinho.

Aarons stands at 5ft 10inches, which puts him on the smaller side for a defender.

And Spurs supporters are questioning why the club would push through a deal for a player that their manager isn’t apparently fully convinced by.

Aarons has performed reasonably well in a Norwich City side, who have struggled in their first season back at Premier League level this term.

The 20-year-old could well offer Spurs a strong option at right-back, which has become a problem position for them.

Mourinho has continually picked Serge Aurier on the right-hand side of his defence this term, but the Ivorian has not been at all reliable defensively.

At the moment Tottenham have very few other options who can play in the position, with Japhet Tanganga and Juan Foyth both out injured.
