Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after some 21-second footage of Jürgen Klopp emerged, following the 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
The clip in question shows Klopp being interviewed after full-time.
He asks the interviewer when the last time they spoke after a win at Anfield was, to which he replies: “Spurs, before Christmas.”
Klopp then laughs in disbelief, repeating the words ‘before Christmas’ in stunned fashion.
The clip ends by him again expressing his amazement at the statistic when saying ‘really?’ to the interviewer.
In truth, that really is a ming-boggling fact.
Liverpool went 68 games unbeaten at Anfield across a number of years, so this recent run of results on Merseyside has been baffling.
It’s no wonder that Klopp is shocked!
It’s pleasing to see the former Borussia Dortmund boss in good spirits, as it really has been a tough year for him so far.
Klopp has had to watch his Liverpool side play some of their worst football under his reign, all while grieving the loss of his mother.
After back-to-back Premier League wins, we hope that the Reds have successfully navigated themselves through this difficult spell for good.
