Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter in anger after reading what Luka Milivojević had to say about Brighton in an interview.
Speaking to Inside Futbol, the 39-cap Serbia international heaped praise on Crystal Palace’s arch-rivals, which hasn’t gone down too well.
Milivojević said: “For this season the team that impressed me the most are Brighton, because they are normally a team who fight to avoid relegation until the end.
“They impress me with the style of football they play and how many chances they create. They have missed a lot of luck this season, but I think their manager is very good and he has done an amazing job with them.”
Given the rivalry between Crystal Palace and Brighton, we’re not sure what the 30-year-old was thinking here.
There isn’t any scenario in which these comments wouldn’t be met with anger and annoyance by the Selhurst Park faithful.
We’re not saying he’s wrong, by any means.

Graham Potter has got Brighton playing some brilliant football, and they do deserve credit for adopting a stylish approach in a relegation battle.
However, as club captain, Milivojević should have a better understanding of the distaste between his side and Brighton.
You wouldn’t see Harry Kane lavishing praise on Arsenal, or Marcus Rashford saying he loves Manchester City, would you?
Milivojević has been at Selhurst Park for over four years now, so you would expect him to understand the rivalry by now.

One fan, clearly left in disbelief, said that his comments can’t be true.
Another supporter said that Wilfried Zaha now deserves to be captain, as he knows what the rivalry means.
Let’s see what some more Crystal Palace fans had to say about the Serbian’s comments…
