It has been a weekend to forget for Arsenal, and stats from Cedric Soares’ performance highlight just how poor the Gunners were.

The Portuguese defender, who Mikel Arteta signed last year from Southampton, had a nightmare of a day against Manchester City. The final stats for Cedric make for poor reading for the right-back.

Cedric ended the day with a pass accuracy of 44%, 0 successful tackles or dribbles and 1 error leading to a goal, with more stats painting a grim picture for the 29-year-old fullback.

Indeed, it was the worst defeat suffered by Arsenal since the arrival of Arteta and one of the biggest scorelines the Gunners have been on the losing end of for quite some time.

Arsenal now sit bottom of the Premier League table after three games. The north London side have conceded more goals than they’ve had shots on target, a damming stat for the club as a whole away from Cedric and his performance.

Indeed, fans were spotted in the away end at the Etihad Stadium sarcastically celebrating City goals during the second half. And Arsenal supporters on social media had to do the same for Cedric and his stats.
