Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching Trent Alexander-Arnold do something absolutely sublime against Newcastle.
In the 25th minute of Liverpool’s 0-0 draw at St James’ Park, the £40,000-a-week man pulled off a sensational pass.
Alexander-Arnold had possession of the ball in his natural right-back role.
Then, the 22-year-old struck a perfect, volleyed pass all the way to the other side of the St James’ Park pitch.
After a few bounces, the ball stopped right in front of Sadio Mane, who was probably just as shocked as we were at the incredible weight on the pinged pass.
It could’ve even led to a goal, as Alexander-Arnold’s pass sent the Senegal international in behind Newcastle’s backline.
Sadly, no goal came from the eye-catching, cross-field switch.
It was simply an incredible show of the England international’s polished technique.
Even Ally McCoist on co-commentary duty for Amazon Prime couldn’t hide his astonishment at the pass.

Unfortunately, not even Alexander-Arnold’s world-class technique could help Liverpool earn the three points on Tyneside yesterday.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s men still sit top of the Premier League, three points above Manchester United.
