Manchester City’s Pablo Zabaleta would be a fantastic addition to the West Ham United squad.
The Hammers have had to endure a woeful start to their Premier League campaign so far, with most of their problems stemming from their inability to defend – something that was brought about by their strange decision to sell James Tomkins to Crystal Palace in the summer.
In a bid to shore up their leaky backline, West Ham should make a January offer for Manchester City’s fringe man Pablo Zabaleta.

The Argentine has played a peripheral role for the Citizens since Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the Etihad in the summer, making just four Premier League starts for his club so far this season.
The 31-year-old Argentine still has so much to offer though, and would bring a wealth of a experience to the Hammers squad, along with exceptional defensive qualities that Slaven Bilic’s side have desperately lacked thus far.
Zabaleta is a right-back by trade, and could operate in the right wing-back role in the 3-4-2-1 system that Bilic is currently operating.

He is equally capable of playing on the right side of three centre-backs, and that versatility would provide the Hammers boss with much needed extra options defensively.
The 58-capped Argentina international’s contract wth City expires in the summer of 2017, so if West Ham were to make an offer in January, they would certainly pose a question to Pep Guardiola as to how important he considers Zabaleta to be to his plans.
Whatever happens, the Hammers most definitely need to strengthen defensively during the January window, and there cannot be too many more financially viable options out there than Pablo Zabaleta.
