According to reports in Turkey today Celtic are still considering making a move for Fenerbahce left-back Hasan Ali Kaldirim, after several previous attempts at negotiating a deal with the player.

Sonda Dika report that Celtic have put an offer on the table for the player, who is a free agent this summer after his contract with Fenerbahce comes to an end.

It is not the first time that Celtic have been linked with the player.

Fotomac reported in January that Celtic had already contacted the player over a potential three-year-contract in Glasgow. The deal was said to be worth around £1.6 million-a-year and will see him stay at Parkhead until at least 2020.

That came after he was also linked last summer. The Daily Record reported in June that Celtic were interested in a £2 million move for the player.

Celtic signing Kaldirim would however come as something of a surprise. Kieran Tierney is now looking like an established player at left-back for the Bhoys and the youngster is a player Brendan Rodgers has a lot of faith in. Emilio Izaguirre has also extended his contract at the club.

But 27-year-old Kaldirim, who can also play on the left-wing or in central midfield, offers a versatility that Tierney and Izaguirre do not. Perhaps this could be why Celtic are apparently still keen.
