Leeds United endured a topsy-turvy Saturday afternoon as they lost 4-3 at home to Millwall in a remarkable game at Elland Road.

The Whites, who lost 1-0 at Ipswich Town last weekend, fell behind as Aiden O’Brien struck Millwall in front, before Liam Cooper was sent off for Leeds before half time – and Lee Gregory quickly took advantage to make it 2-0.

Leeds came back roaring after half time, as Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe found the net to bring the score back to 2-2, before Lasogga struck again to make it 3-2 to Leeds, turning the game on its head.

However, there was another twist to come, as former Leeds striker Tom Elliott equalised late on for Millwall, and Jed Wallace hit a dramatic injury-time winner for the Lions to send the away fans wild.

Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen will be disappointed with how his side managed to throw points away having fought so hard to get back into the game, whilst he also saw Laurens De Bock make his debut.

De Bock joined Leeds from Belgian side Club Brugge earlier this month, with the Whites moving to bring in a left back to finally give some balance to Christiansen’s back line.

De Bock started for Leeds for the first time on Saturday, and fans on Twitter were largely impressed with his display, suggesting that he showed promising signs in his debut appearance for the club.

Some were impressed with his calmness on the ball and his passing range, noting that he was ‘excellent’ and could be the replacement for Charlie Taylor that Leeds have been looking for.
