Jesse Lingard has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his West Ham United teammate Tomas Soucek’s red card against Fulham being overturned.
Lingard, who joined West Ham on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window, is overjoyed to find out that defensive midfielder Soucek will not be suspended.
The defensive midfielder was sent off for West Ham in their Premier League game against Fulham at Craven Cottage in London at the weekend.
Deep into injury time during the London derby on Saturday, the West Ham star raised his elbow and caught Mitrovic in the face.
The Fulham striker went down to the ground, and although it looked like it was an accident, after a VAR check, referee Mike Dean decided to send off the 25-year-old.
