Nuno Espirito Santo has admitted that Ryan Bennett could leave Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day of the transfer window, as reported by the Birmingham Mail.

Considering the experienced defender has not donned Old Gold since the first half of the 2019/20 campaign, it should be no surprise that he may be heading for the exit before today’s 5:00pm deadline.

Where Bennett ends up, however, is a different story.

The 30-year-old shouldn’t be lacking in admirers, particularly as he already has one Championship promotion on his CV during a spell at Norwich City.

“Ryan Bennett has things going on,” Nuno said at his Friday press conference.

“Let’s see how the day finishes. You never know what can happen but not too many things I hope.”

Bennett, who struggled to make an impact during a short-term loan at Leicester City last term, has not played a single second of Premier League football so far this season, falling behind Max Kilman and Romain Saiss in the Molineux pecking order.

Fulham were linked earlier in the window but the opportunity for cross-Premier League moves ended on October 5.

Perhaps Swansea City could be Bennett’s destination instead, with Steve Cooper’s high-flying side scouring the market for potential Joe Rodon replacements as Tottenham Hotspur go all out for the Wales international.
