Thierry Henry has avoided the question, when asked whether Tottenham Hotspur will finish ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table this season by Sky Sports.

Henry was on the panel, after Tottenham ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Stoke City earlier today.

And when asked whether he thought Spurs would finish ahead of his old side, the former French international forward said: “I knew you were going to ask me that. Arsenal, Tottenham – the main point is to win the league.

“For me, it doesn’t matter. What’s it going to do at the end of the day? You want to win the league and do well in Europe, but it’s not happening at either club.”

Tottenham have never before finished ahead of their North London rivals during Arsene Wenger’s time in charge at Arsenal.

Spurs are currently three points ahead of Arsenal, but the Gunners do have a game in hand.

Spurs’ performance against Stoke earlier today was highly impressive, as they cruised to the three points.

Harry Kane netted a hat-trick in the first half, and Dele Alli also scored to ensure that Mauricio Pochettino’s side picked up the victory.

Tottenham are next in action against Everton, while Arsenal face Liverpool.
