Thierry Henry has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur are the first Premier League side to have asked questions of Manchester City this season.

Tottenham ran out 2-0 winners over a City side, who had previously dominated many of their league matches.

In truth, Spurs’ margin of victory could have been even greater, after they put in a quite sensational performance at White Hart Lane.

And Henry was full of praise for Spurs after the match, suggesting that Mauricio Pochettino’s men deserved a huge amount of credit.

“If you ask Manchester City the right questions they are going to be in trouble,” the former Arsenal striker said.

“Spurs are the first team we’ve seen do that to them in the Premier League this season and City didn’t have the answers so you have to give Spurs a lot of credit, they were brilliant.”

Tottenham’s win against City means that they have reduced the gap to the top of the table to just one point.

Tottenham are now the only unbeaten team in England’s top flight, after making an excellent start to the new campaign.

Spurs are next in action after the international break, when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.
