Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has established himself as a key member of Arsene Wenger’s first-team squad.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry offered high praise for Gunners youngster Alex Iwobi when speaking to Sky Sports, highlighting how well he has done to break into the first-team at the Emirates, quoted via the Sport Review.
The 20-year-old Nigerian has been a revelation for Arsenal since making his debut for the senior side during their 3-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday in the league cup just over a year ago.

He has been a prominent member of Arsene Wenger’s starting XI this season, appearing in eight Premier League games and all three of the Gunners’ Champions League outings.
Henry, who scored 175 Premier League goals for Arsenal, explained how impressed he has been with Iwobi, after witnessing his work ethic at close quarters during his time spent working with the Gunners youth setup, as quoted by Sport Review:
“To make it into the Arsenal team from the youth team is very difficult. They’ve done a tremendous job with him in the academy for him to arrive there. I myself was there for a little while and he listens, he works hard, he’s never late. When you tell him to do something, he does it straight away. It’s almost like he doesn’t want to disturb anyone. But if you give him the ball he will do what you want him to do.”

Iwobi’s emergence probably negated the need for Wenger to spend heavily during the summer on an attacking wide player, and his maturity levels, along with his special talent, have enabled him to establish himself as a regular starter at the Emirates.
Next up for Arsenal is a trip to Ludogorets int he Champions League before they host fierce rivals Tottenham Hotsur in the Premier League on Sunday.
