Everton failed to muster up a shot on target in their match against Manchester United.

Thierry Henry assistant manager of Belgium looks on prior to the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualifier between Belgium and Gibraltar at Stade Maurice Dufrasne on August 31, 2017 in Liege, Belgium.

Thierry Henry has told Sky Sports, during their coverage of Everton’s match against Manchester United, that he isn’t sure he agrees with Sam Allardyce’s comments on the Toffees’ lack of attacking intent.

Allardyce claimed that it was ‘normal’ for Everton not to have a shot on target, after they fell to a 2-0 defeat against United.

However, Henry claims that Allardyce should not be so resigned to his side’s attacking struggles, as he could have shown more intent.

“Is it normal? I don’t know if it’s normal,” Henry said. “You can always have a go and try and hurt teams. It’s been a problem since the start of the season.”

Everton simply could not threaten United yesterday, as the Red Devils picked up a comfortable three points.

Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard both scored for United, as they dominated in the second half against the Toffees.

Everton did not trouble David de Gea in the contest, as their winless run extended to four matches.

Everton are known to be looking to sign a striker in January, as Allardyce looks to solve his side’s attacking problems.

The Toffees have been heavily linked with Cenk Tosun, but that deal appears in the balance now.
