Thierry Henry has claimed that Everton forward Richarlison does sometimes ‘go over the limit’ for his side, as he told Amazon Prime.

The Premier League legend made it clear that he is ‘very important’ to this struggling Everton side and he will ‘eventually score goals’ on a consistent basis.

Whilst Richarlison can be a threat in the final third and put the ball into the back of the net.

He isn’t as lethal as he can be in front of goal – his best scoring season in the Premier League is 13 during back-to-back seasons from 2018-20.

There weren’t many better than Henry at his pomp and he shared his thoughts on Richarlison.

“He is (very important) because he battles,” said Henry. “We have seen that he sometimes goes over the limit and that does generate something for the crowd.

“He runs in behind. He is willing to take people on and he will eventually score goals. Everyone needs that.”

After losing 4-1 to Liverpool last night, Everton are now in a right mess, with no wins in eight league matches and pressure on all involved with the club.

From the underperforming players, the manager in the dugout to chants of ‘sack the board’ being sung after the full-time whistle yesterday.

What’s even worse is that £500 million has been spent by the Toffees over several years, yet they look worse off and aren’t showing any signs of progression.

Someone like Richarlison, albeit inconsistent, is one of those players that provides them with that hope that they can move forward once more.
