Speaking to Sky Sports, Thierry Henry says he cannot see Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger taking charge of England.
The Three Lions are on the hunt for their next manager following Roy Hodgson’s departure last week. He left his role following the shock last 16 exit at the hands of Iceland at Euro 2016.

One manager who has been linked with the position is Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, with the Telegraph reporting that the FA will seek talks with the Frenchman.
Henry can’t see his former manager taking charge of the national side though, believing he would miss the day-to-day work of club management.
“What I love about Arsene is he loves being on the field on a daily basis,” Henry told Sky Sports News.
“If you’re a coach of a national team you’re not out there on a daily basis. That’s why I don’t see that happening, but who knows.”

While Henry does not Wenger taking charge of England, there is no denying that he would be a superb appointment.
There is a lack of top level English candidates at present, and if the FA are looking for a man with broad knowledge of the English game then there is arguably nobody more knowledgeable than the Frenchman.
Aside from that he has a proven track record of developing young players and plays an attractive brand of football, two traits which England fans will be keen to see in the next coach.
