They were by far the better side on Saturday, dominating Arsenal from start to finish, though it took until the second half to break the deadlock.
Diogo Jota headed home Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross before Mohamed Salah added a second, and Jota continued his superb season by adding his second.
Liverpool limited Arsenal to just 35% of possession and only two shots on target, meaning Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with the way his side performed.
That’s two league wins in a row for Liverpool, and it’s clear that the players are ecstatic having picked up their form in what has been a pretty dismal few months.
After Saturday’s final whistle, midfielder Thiago took to Twitter to post just three words – ‘brilliant today, mates’ as he showed a little bit of Scouse slang to celebrate.
Thiago has blown hot and cold at times this season, and fans will be hoping that he can now find some consistency in the final weeks of the season to help the Reds finish strongly.
