Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita were all on the scoresheet in a convincing victory.
Thiago started the game, but was substituted after 62 minutes as Keita came on and scored for Liverpool.
Thiago now faces absence
The 30-year-old’s injury is a calf problem, and Liverpool are playing it safe for now.
They have confirmed that Thiago will not only miss tonight’s game against Norwich, but also Liverpool’s trip to Brentford this weekend.
Liverpool are running further scans on Thiago’s injury. There is a real chance that this ends up being worse than feared, but Liverpool will hope it’s just the two games.
With Harvey Elliott already out of action with al long-term injury, Liverpool can’t afford to lose Thiago too.

Liverpool fans fear worst for Thiago after last season’s injury woe
Last season, Thiago picked up a knee injury against Everton. Liverpool initially felt that the injury wasn’t serious, and would only keep him out for a couple of games.
Thiago ended up missing six weeks of action, sitting out a huge 17 games in a packed Liverpool schedule.
Liverpool fans are now fearing the worst after last season’s situation. Some believe that Thiago now won’t be seen until 2022.
Some think that Liverpool don’t always share the full picture when they confirm injuries, and have now been left to fear a nightmare situation.
There isn’t much more Liverpool can say until Thiago’s scan results come back.
For now though, a number of Liverpool fans fear Thiago will miss much longer than claimed right now.
