Leeds United finished off their Championship season with a 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic, and they can now look forward to life in the Premier League.

The Whites are going back to the top flight as title winners, racking up 93 points in a stunning season under Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds will likely have big plans in the transfer market, and they are already being linked with a whole host of Argentinian talents.

Ole reported earlier this week that Leeds want Velez Sarsfield wonderkid Thaigo Almada, alongside the likes of Juan Foyth, Lucas Martinez Quarta, Matias Zaracho and Nicolas Gonzalez.

Bielsa will likely be familiar with the top talents back in his home country, though it’s unlikely that Leeds will sign five Argentinians.

Almada is particularly interesting. The 19-year-old playmaker has already hit nine goals and four assists in 46 first-team games for Velez, whilst he has – rather unsurprisingly – been branded ‘the new Lionel Messi’.

The teenager would be a huge coup for Leeds if they can land him, and Almada has commented on the rumours when speaking to TyC Sports.

Almada admitted that he would like to play under Bielsa, with his friends sending him the rumours, but he is calm and happy to wait and see what happens.

He added that he has seen some Leeds highlights, and believes their style of play is similar to the style Gabriel Heinze pushed at Velez.

“I would like Bielsa to coach me,” said Almada. “My friends sent me that something about Bielsa, but I am calm. Whether it happens or not, we have to see.”

“I don’t watch much soccer, but I saw some Leeds highlights and I saw something similar to what we did in Vélez with Heinze,” he added.
