Everton fans have taken to Twitter in anger after hearing that Lucien Favre has agreed to replace Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace.
What’s the story?
Well, it was the Guardian who revealed that Everton had expressed an interest in Favre, after he held talks with Crystal Palace.
Sadly for the Toffees, those talks went extremely well, and the 63-year-old has now agreed a three-year deal with the Eagles.
Now, Favre just needs to secure a work permit, and Crystal Palace’s managerial hunt will finally come to an end.
The same cannot be said for Everton, who are still searching for a successor to Carlo Ancelotti.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees are working on a deal to bring Rafa Benitez to Goodison Park.
After hearing about the Spaniard’s potential arrival, fans displayed anti-Benitez banners around Merseyside.

Clearly, he wouldn’t be a popular appointment, due to his Liverpool links.
Everton need to hurry up
Whether Benitez is hired or not, Everton need to hurry up.
Pre-season is set to start in the first week of July, and the Toffees are managerless and are also yet to sign a single player.

Whatever Farhad Moshiri, Bill Kenwright and Marcel Brands are doing, they need to act quickly, or they risk disrupting the 2021/22 campaign.
For now, let’s see how the Everton fans reacted as Favre closes in on a move to Crystal Palace…
