Kevin de Bruyne has praised West Ham United and stated they have had a ‘great season’, after scoring four goals for Manchester City against Wolves on Wednesday night.

West Ham could do Liverpool a favour in the Premier League title race on Sunday by possibly beating Pep Guardiola’s side.

Even though this is the East London outfit’s final home game of the campaign, added with Mark Noble’s final home match of his career, it still might be difficult to stop this Manchester City team.

The current Premier League leaders have scored a staggering ten goals from their last two matches – and that after getting knocked out of the Champions League.

Nonetheless, ahead of West Ham welcoming Manchester City to the London Stadium, this is what de Bruyne had to say about David Moyes’ side, as he told Premier League Productions (11/05/22 at 10:30 pm).

“West Ham away is a really tough game,” said de Bruyne. “They have had a great season. They have a great team.

“We are definitely not going to underestimate them. But we are going to try and go there and win the game.

“Then, after the game, we see what happens (in the Premier League title race).”

Liverpool will be cheering on West Ham on Sunday

Liverpool will be in the capital at the weekend when they take part in the FA Cup final against Chelsea and they will be hoping the Hammers do them a favour.

If West Ham can beat Manchester City, then it puts a twist in this Premier League title race.

The Reds, along with Chelsea, know full well that it’s difficult coming up against the Irons at the London Stadium because both have tasted defeats.

But this West Ham side will have to be at their very best if they are to upset the apple cart.
