Slaven Bilic has claimed that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, are ‘unbelievable’ following Liverpool’s 1-0 win over West Ham United on Saturday evening at Anfield, as he told Premier League Productions (05/03/22 at 7:40 pm).

The former West Ham boss added that Liverpool’s flying fullback duo are ‘the best pair’ in modern football.

Whilst Robertson didn’t get on the assists charts yesterday, Alexander-Arnold did when he supplied Sadio Mane for the only goal of the game.

Added with that, it was the Englishman’s 17th assist in all competitions this season.

Nonetheless, this is what Bilic had to say about Liverpool’s fullback duo after their crucial win yesterday.

“They are playmakers as fullbacks,” said Bilic. “The way they pass the ball. The decisions they are making. They are unbelievable.

“These two have been doing it, week in and week out for four years. They are the best pair of fullbacks in modern football.”

Whilst Manchester City spent hundreds of millions on their fullbacks, for Liverpool, in footballing terms, their duo cost next to nothing.

Trent, of course, came through the academy, whilst Robertson was purchased for less than £10 million from Hull City.

What’s even better about them is that they are yet to hit the peak of their powers and will only get better.

Unless Klopp stays at Liverpool for the next ten years, one of the best gifts he will leave the supporters is what Alexander-Arnold does during the next decade because he is going to be one of the greatest to have put on that boyhood shirt of his.
