Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are reacting to a rumour regarding Newcastle United’s next manager.

The Magpies were taken over by Saudi Public Investment Fund a little earlier this week and Steve Bruce revealed to The Daily Mail that he was worried for his job.

According to The Sun, Graham Potter, whose Brighton side were unlucky not to beat Arsenal last weekend, is on Newcastle’s shortlist of new managers.

The 46-year-old might be the best English manager working in football right now.

And here’s how some Arsenal supporters reacted to the prospect of the St James’s Park club hiring him to replace Bruce.

Hard to turn down

Mikel Arteta is doing well with Arsenal right now, so you know that the Gunners’ faithful wouldn’t be reacting like this unless they thought it was genuinely going to be a fine appointment – and it would be.

Bruce is by no means a bad coach, and his next match is going to be his 1,000th game as a manager, but Newcastle do have bigger fish to fry.

With their owners boasting wealth of £320 billion, the 60-year-old is right to be fearing for his job.

Suddenly, managing Newcastle might be the hottest ticket in town and as committed to Brighton as Potter is, turning this down would be difficult if he gets the offer.
