Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that Chelsea have matched PSG’s offer for Achraf Hakimi.

Sky Sports claim that Chelsea have offered a tad over £56 million for the right-back’s services – not long after he was linked with Arsenal.

Reports in Spain were previously claiming that Arsenal wanted to sign Hakimi and Mikel Arteta was personally approving the move.

But with Inter seemingly in the need to sell, it looks as though if Hakimi does head to London then it’s to Stamford Bridge, and not the Emirates.

In truth, it was a very long shot from Arsenal to try and sign the sought-after player because they aren’t exactly in any position of power, both financially or in terms of Europe to lure him towards their direction.

But following Chelsea’s rumoured bid, several Arsenal fans have now just laughed off their reported interest in the player.

This doesn’t still hide the fact that Arsenal themselves still need a right-back this summer, it’s just a case of whether their owners will properly back their under-fire boss.

Whilst Chelsea continue to be backed by Roman Abramovich, those in the Arsenal boardroom are seemingly trying to win the award for being one of the worst run clubs in the Premier League.

Many would perhaps back those at Stamford Bridge to do the business this summer, but the same cannot be said for their rivals across the road, who are in desperate need of repairing.

Here is a selection of Arsenal fans reacting to those Hakimi/Chelsea rumours:
