Wolves fans have reacted on Twitter to Aston Villa closing in on the signing of Emi Buendia.
Whilst those at Villa Park have continued to progress since their promotion to the Premier League, Wolves stumbled during the recently concluded campaign, which included Nuno Espirito Santo departing after the final ball was kicked.
And whilst Wolves fans have to read rumours about some of their players –Ruben Neves and Adama Traore – potentially heading for the exit door this summer.
Villa, on the other hand, confirmed on Monday that they have reached an agreement with Norwich for the signing of Buendia.
And it does seem as though this will be the start of things to come because rumours have also surfaced that they want to sign Southampton midfielder, James Ward-Prowse.
Either way, Wolves fans are questioning their own board as to why they cannot show the ambition that Villa are currently displaying.
Dean Smith’s side may have finished 11th this season, but it’s quite clear that they won’t stop in their quest to reach Europe once again.
Wolves, of course, reached that feat back-to-back, but a number of months without Raul Jimenez during the recently concluded campaign hurt them badly.
But, it seems as though Villa have thrown the first big punch of this summer’s transfer window with the signing of Buendia.
