It’s been a decent loan spell for Carlos Vinicius at Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.

The 25-year-old joined Spurs on a season-long loan arrangement from Benfica this past summer.

And despite only managing 12 minutes of Premier League football for Tottenham since, he is finding his feet in North London.

In the Europa League, the big forward, who stands at 6’3, has netted three goals in four starts under Jose Mourinho – and scored again in last night’s 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp.

But the Brazilian’s lack of game time in the Premier League is a bit of a concern, even if Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are having the season of their lives under Mourinho right now.

That being said, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Portuguese coach and his staff are ‘so happy’ with Vinicius and the Italian journalist ruled out the possibility of Tottenham hedging their bets by adding another number nine next month.

He told his Here We Go podcast: “At the moment Tottenham are so happy with Vinicius. He’s doing well, training well. They’re convinced he’s a good talent and they’ll go on with Vinicius.”

Vinicius is obviously unlucky in the sense that Son and Kane are playing out of their skins so far this season.

There’s a lot more high-profile strikers than the South American who’d be struggling for Premier League football too, but so long as he continues to take whatever chances that Mourinho gives him, he’ll be fine.
