Liverpool fans will be asking the burning question, will Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk be fit for the Champions League final? This after they went off injured in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

Pre-caution or serious worry? The good news for Liverpool fans is that they should lower their blood pressure levels.

As Joe Cole mentioned during his punditry stint for ITV Sport, both Salah and Van Dijk were ‘moving well’ when they were celebrating with the trophy and their teammates.

It will be music to the ears of the Liverpool fans because, when Salah went off in the first half and was then followed by his ice-cool teammate just before extra-time, many repping the Reds would have feared the worst.

Nonetheless, this is what ex-Chelsea winger Cole noticed about both Salah and Van Dijk as they were celebrating with the trophy after full-time at Wembley.

“They are both moving well,” said Cole. “Salah is there, it was semi-precaution.

“Jurgen Klopp is trying to manage his squad. But as Jordan Henderson said ‘they have to go at it’.”

WILL SALAH AND VAN DIJK BE FIT FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL?

The answer seems to be a big fat yes, but don’t forget a certain defensive midfield master in Fabinho.

Fabinho also went off with a muscle injury during Liverpool’s comeback win against Aston Villa on Tuesday.

The Brazil international sat out the FA Cup final, and with only weeks remaining until they head to Paris, will Jurgen Klopp be able to select him from the get-go?

Whatever is the answer, this quadruple-chasing side needs to be ready for one of the biggest heavyweight showdowns football can match up because Real Madrid will be looking to spoil their party.
