Leeds United fans loved Patrick Bamford comments that it would be ‘written in the stars’ if his side can secure promotion against Derby on Sunday.

It’s highly likely that Leeds will be a Premier League team by Sunday – either West Brom will drop points tonight [they’re currently level with Huddersfield], Brentford will drop points on Saturday or the Whites will secure, at least a point against Derby to secure promotion.

If either of the above happens then Leeds will make their long-awaited return to the promised land.

Bamford was asked about that Derby match and he told Sky Sports that he would ideally like to clinch promotion on Sunday and it would be extra special to do it against the Rams.
