Julian Nagelsmann thinks Germany ‘will think about’ whether they should hire Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as their next coach, as he told his pre-match press conference.
On Tuesday morning, news broke that Joachim Low will leave his post as Germany’s national coach after this summer’s Euros, as posted by BBC Sport.
That has resulted in the inevitable happening and questions being asked about whether Klopp will leave Liverpool to take the reins of his home country.
Nagelsmann, whose RB Leipzig side face Liverpool in the Champions League tomorrow, was asked about Klopp potentially being Germany’s next coach.
“Well, please excuse me that I won’t answer that question in detail because we have an important match tomorrow,” said Nagelsmann.
“Frankly, I don’t really care right now who will be the national coach. I don’t want to answer the question if someone asks me.
“Jurgen Klopp, of course, he’s an exceptional coach. But I think Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are content with their partners, so I don’t know if it’s a good question you have to ask that to Jurgen.
“I think Germany has huge personal. I think they will think about this question. I am not part of the stuff. It’s not for me to answer that question.”

It would be a surprise if Klopp were to leave Liverpool in the summer and become Germany’s next manager even though the road is set for him to walk that touchline one day.
Whilst Liverpool have lifted the Champions League and the Premier League under Klopp’s stewardship, it does seem as though he still has unfinished business in England’s top-flight.
Plus, given the mess the champions are in right now, there is only one man who can get them out of their current situation and that’s the guy who ended their 30-year wait for an English league title.
