What an awful transfer window it’s proving to be for Tottenham Hotspur.

Things started very positively for the North Londoners amid speculation that Adama Traore was set to join from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

But after a lot of dithering by Spurs, the Spain international is now heading off to Barcelona.

Tottenham turned their attention toward Luis Diaz of Porto this week, making a £35 million offer.

But the Colombia international has decided to join Liverpool instead in what is another blow for the Lilywhites.

However, journalist Julien Laurens has some positive news for Tottenham supporters on the transfer front.

Sofyan Amrabat of Fiorentina is reportedly on Fabio Paratici’s radar, as is Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski – and Laurens has told ESPN that he believes the North Londoners will wind up bringing both to England by Monday’s deadline.

He told ESPN: “They will sign players. Someone like Amrabat I think will sign. Kulusevski I think will come from Juventus as well, but they’re certainly not first choice.”

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham will have to shell out £33 million to sign Kulusevski this month.

Originally there was talk about Spurs signing the Juventus winger on a half-season, but unfortunately that ship seems to have sailed.

But clearly Antonio Conte wants a wide player.

Traore and Diaz are both wingers and therefore it’s reasonable to believe that the Kulusevski rumour has some weight, hence why Laurens added that neither he or Amrabat are Paratici’s first-choice signings.
