Yaya Toure has claimed that Arsenal were looking ‘nervous’ during the last five minutes of their 3-2 win over Watford on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions (06/03/22 at 4:00 pm).

With ex-Tottenham man, Moussa Sissoko, scoring late on, the mood of the game changed for an Arsenal side that were playing some of their best football of the season at Vicarage Road.

Every goal from Mikel Arteta’s team was of high, high quality, including the third which the Spaniard was amazingly a part of.

The Arsenal boss ran out of his technical area to help Bukayo Saka make a quick throw and that then resulted in the Champions League-chasing side playing some high-quality one-touch football for Gabriel Martinelli’s goal.

Nonetheless, this is what ex-Manchester City midfielder, Toure, made of Arsenal in the last five minutes of yesterday’s game.

“Fortunately for Arsenal, it was a bit late (Sissoko’s goal),” said Toure. “But they should have probably seen it out 20 minutes before the end.

“But, in the last five minutes, Arsenal were looking nervous. They were trying to defend with their all.

“The manager changed Odegaard for a defender. But Watford came onto them really well, but not enough. It was definitely a great game.”

The ball is well and truly in Arsenal’s court regarding securing that fourth spot.

Not only are the Gunners one-point ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United, but they also have three games in hand.

But they still have to play Manchester United and their north London rivals, Tottenham.

In truth, a point from both of those matches would suit Arsenal because of the gap they have created, but either way, they should now push this one over the line.
