Arsenal fans on Twitter have reacted to Frank Lampard seemingly closing in on the signing of Thiago Silva from PSG.
Sky Sports have reported that the 35-year-old centre-back is to undergo a medical on Thursday after opting against signing a new contract with the Ligue 1 champions.
The Arsenal fans have pointed out that they were widely mocked by their Chelsea counterparts for signing a 32-year-old Willian, yet here they are about to secure the signature of someone who is three years older.
The word ‘retirement home’ was banded about quite a lot when Willian opted against staying at Chelsea and instead signing for Arsenal.
He is teammates with Silva on the international stage, as it now seems that the Brazilian duo will lock horns in the Premier League next season.
In truth, both are strong additions to Arsenal and Chelsea because they have great experience behind them, as well as quality and they are being signed up on a free transfer.

Silva reached the Champions League final with PSG, but he was unable to prevent his team from suffering a defeat as Bayern Munich clinched their sixth European crown on Sunday.
Nonetheless, Arsenal fans have been pretty vocal at Lampard’s choice of centre-back, as he clearly has opted for experience after his side leaked the most goals from the top 10 Premier League side’s last term.
