Shay Given has said on Premier League Productions that Reiss Nelson is very popular among his Arsenal teammates.

The former Manchester City goalkeeper made the observation about Nelson after Arsenal beat Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old winger was the star of the show for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta’s side came from two goals down to beat Bournemouth 3-2 at home.

Nelson came on as a substitute in the second half.

The £38,000-a-week (SalarySport) winger immediate provided the assist for Ben White’s goal.

Nelson then scored a late goal which proved to be the winner.

And Given noted that the Arsenal players all were happy for him.

Given said: “64 minutes this season, and you could see the togetherness in the squad after he scored that goal. They were happy for him.”

Well done!

Reiss Nelson has had injury problems during his time at Arsenal so far and is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.

The winger is a squad player at the Gunners.

However, Nelson showed on Saturday that he can still play a part for Arsenal in the coming weeks and months.

The Gunners are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.

And Arteta will need players such as Nelson to step up and make an impact off the bench.
