Jurgen Klinsmann told ESPN that Harry Kane’s teammates at Tottenham are finding his situation ‘frustrating’

The former Germany superstar thinks that those in the Spurs dressing room simply want to ‘move on’ as his saga continues to drag on.

From Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola expressing that he wants to sign Kane to the player himself denying on Twitter that he didn’t go on strike.

It’s the drama that Nuno Espirito Santo didn’t want when he was handed the reigns to Spurs by Daniel Levy.

And Klinsmann expressed his worry at what might happen with Kane if he stays on board and Spurs get off to a poor start.

“Absolutely, it’s frustrating,” said Klinsmann. “It’s frustrating for his teammates as well because they want to move on.

“They want to have a clear idea of whether Harry Kane stays on board or not. He’s the captain of the team (Lloris*). He’s the captain of England and he just got them into the Euro finals against Italy, so it’s a huge, huge decision.

“Therefore, also for him, if he remains at White Hart Lane then hopefully he remains with 100% of his mindset because it’s going to be difficult for him going into a new season.

“If they don’t win right from the beginning or stay in the top four in the Premier League then he will lose focus and quality. Then times runs out and he’s not the youngest anymore.”

Regardless of what Guardiola has had to say about Kane, it’s going to be pretty difficult for him to get Levy to blink any other way that he doesn’t want to.

Usually, Levy gets his way in this situation and given that Kane signed a bumper deal in 2018, he only has himself, and those who represent him, to blame.

Jack Grealish played it a lot clever by insisting that a £100 million clause was put in his contract and now he’s preparing to don Manchester City’s colours for their Premier League opener against Spurs this week.
