‘They think I don’t like them’: Gary Neville fires back at Arsenal fans

Gary Neville has fired back at Arsenal fans after stating ‘for some reason, they think I don’t like them’, as he posted on Instagram.

The Manchester United legend, who had many great battles with Arsenal during his playing days, added by saying he ‘never trusted’ them in the Champions League race.

Tottenham are now one point away – against already-relegated Norwich City – and they would have secured Champions League football for next season.

Yet, only last week, if the Gunners had beaten Spurs, then they would have secured fourth spot – after that game, Neville told Arsenal fans to ‘get off my case’ because they accused him of being biased against them.

Nonetheless, he once again fired back at Arsenal fans, who have been ‘battering’ him all week.

“I never trusted Arsenal (in the race for Champions League) and Arsenal fans have been battering me for the past month,” said Neville.

“For some reason, they think I don’t like them.”

Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle on Monday night left their Champions League hopes in tatters and in the hands of their north London rivals, Tottenham.

After the game at St James’ Park, Neville made note of Arsenal’s body language and compared it to Manchester United losing the Europa League final to Villarreal last season.

All the Gunners can do is beat Everton on the last day of the Premier League season and then hope Norwich pull off some sort of miracle.

But, in truth, with Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son in your armoury, it’s unlikely anything out of the ordinary will happen.
