Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted to the Liverpool Echo that even he was shocked by his Liverpool players’ work-ethic last night.
Liverpool won 5-3 against Chelsea, in what was a pulsating encounter at Anfield yesterday.
The Reds have been accused of taking the foot off the gas since their title success was confirmed.
However, Liverpool’s players did not look distracted at all from the task at hand last night.
Klopp’s side showed the attacking strength that has helped them win their first ever Premier League title, as they carved Chelsea open on numerous occasions.
And Klopp admits that the attitude of his Liverpool squad even shocked him.
“In a meeting I can say whatever I want. If you want to win, you have to work hard,” Klopp said. If you don’t care, you don’t have to go out because Chelsea is too good and their target is too high.

“They surprised me to be honest. How can you put that shift in in a situation like this? It was just exceptional.”
Liverpool scored their goals against Chelsea through Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Reds now have just one game left this season, which comes on Sunday against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
