Josip Juranovic has been speaking to HRT about his start to life at Celtic, where he’s looking to help the Bhoys win their title back from Rangers.

Speaking of the Gers, the £2.5m man shared what the Ibrox faithful shout at him as he walks the streets of Glasgow.

What’s the story?

Well, Juranovic reveals that fans of Steven Gerrard’s side shout ‘Glasgow Rangers’ in his direction when he’s spotted out in public.

The full-back told HRT: “I went to Celtic at the right time; everything worked out for me. People recognise me, but when Rangers fans see me, they start shouting “Glasgow Rangers”, but it’s all football.”

Luckily, Juranovic doesn’t seem to have an issue with it, as he adds that ‘it’s all football’ when he receives the shouts.

Playing for Celtic or Rangers means you simply have to get used to the intense rivalry between the pair – no ifs or buts about it.

Can Celtic beat Rangers to the title?

As things stand, Rangers are best placed to retain their Scottish Premiership title, as they’re four points ahead of Celtic after 13 games.

However, a spanner could soon be thrown in the works for Rangers.

According to the BBC, Gerrard is high on Aston Villa’s list of candidates to replace Dean Smith.

The Villans are a huge club with significant financial might, so its’s quite possible that the Gers boss is lured to Villa Park.

If that happened, it would be tremendous news for Ange Postecoglou.

Gerrard’s departure would rock Ibrox, and would surely give Celtic the upper hand in the title race.

Of course, Postecoglou doesn’t strike us as a man who wants a helping hand or favours to meet his goals, but he would surely be boosted by Gerrard abandoning Rangers.
