‘They really didn’t like Mourinho’: Some Spurs fans react to what Bale did after Saints win

Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to Gareth Bale’s dig at Jose Mourinho on Wednesday.

Following Tottenham’s win against Southampton, in which Bale scored, he offered his thoughts on his side’s win.

Bale was asked on Sky Sports what has needed to change and this was his response: 

“Maybe be on the front foot,” he said. “We want to attack. We are a big team. We have great players. We need to attack more and stay higher up the pitch.”

It’s pretty obvious that it’s a dig at Mourinho and Spurs fans have recognised that.

A lot was made of Mourinho’s time at the club and the style of play he implemented in North London.

From Tottenham’s inability to make use of their leads during the second half of a game or coming from behind to win.

Well, unlike under Mourinho, their second-half performance was much better under Ryan Mason yesterday and they came back from behind to win.
