Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign Mason Mount from Graham Potter’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that Liverpool need Mount.

The talkSPORT pundit made the comments about Mount and Liverpool while discussing the future of the England international midfielder.

Liverpool are among the clubs who are keen on signing the 24-year-old midfielder.

The Daily Mail have reported that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are determined to sign Mount in the summer transfer window.

Contract talks between Mount and Chelsea are not going well.

The 24-year-old is on £80,000 per week as salary, and he reportedly wants £240,000 per week.

90min reported last month that Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Liverpool all want to sign Mount.

Darren Bent tells Liverpool to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea

Bent said: “If you look at the clubs that are in for him, the only one that makes real sense to me, and I think they need him, are Liverpool because they need legs in that midfield.”

Good potential signing for Liverpool

In our view, Mason Mount would be a very good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Mount is not having the best of seasons at Chelsea now, but we know just how good he is.

The 24-year-old is a very dynamic player who can drive the team forward and works extremely hard.

We believe that Mount would make Liverpool better in the middle of the season.

We know that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp improves players.

And under the German, Mount will surely get better and add more facets to his game.
