Chris Sutton said on BT Sport 3 (4:55pm, November 21, 2020) that Celtic will not dismiss Neil Lennon tonight.

The former Celtic striker believes that the Glasgow giants could decide to part company with Lennon after their Europa League game next week, but tonight they will stick with him.

Sutton made the comments following the Hoops’ 2-2 draw with Hibernian away from home in the Scottish Premiership today.

Celtic were 2-0 down after 59 minutes, but the defending Scottish champions scored twice late on to pick up a point at Easter Road.

The result means that the Hoops stay second in the league table with 30 points from 13 matches, as many as eight points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers, who have played 14 games.

Celtic are back in action next Thursday evening when they take on Sparta Prague away from home in Europa League Group H.

The Bhoys are in danger of failing to progress to the knockout rounds of the European competition, as they are at the bottom of the group with just a point from three matches.

Sutton believes that the Celtic hierarchy will not sack Lennon tonight.

The Englishman said on BT Sport 3 (4:55pm, November 21, 2020): “They are not going to sack him tonight. I would be shocked. They might sack him after Prague, but not after this.”
