Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has praised the performances of Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson in Football London.
Arsenal cruised to a 3-0 win over Dundalk last night, with plenty of Arteta’s fringe players catching the eye.
Willock and Nelson were two of Arsenal’s standout performers during the game.
Willock claimed an assist and a goal, while Nelson was a constant threat down the wing.
And Arteta says that the Arsenal pair both caught his eye with their displays.
“They [Joe and Reiss] looked good tonight and always looked like threats,” he said.

“They looked like they could do something different in the game to change it. They were good around the box, they were creative, they had courage to make the right decision in the right areas. I’m pleased with both of them.”
Nelson and Willock have both been starved of chances at the Emirates Stadium this term, but may now stand a real chance of starting at Old Trafford this weekend.
Willock’s energy and creativity shone in midfield last night, while Nelson’s skill was very evident.
Their performances will surely push them up the pecking order at Arsenal in the coming weeks, with the Gunners having a busy fixture list to contend with.
